DSHS Alderwood CSO Community Service Office Details

This is a Washington State Department of Social and Health Services Office- DSHS Office.

All services are available by phone at 877-501-2233.  Please note that lobbies are open for the following limited services:

    Pick up an Electronic Benefit Transfer card, authorized bus passes and gas cards between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    Pick up preauthorized WorkFirst support service vouchers between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    Pick up verification such as a copy of photo ID, DSHS letters or receipt of public assistance to apply for a reduced-price ID card with the Dept. of Licensing between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    Customers who do not have access to a phone may use the CSO lobby phones between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. to connect directly to the Customer Service Contact Center.
    Customers who do not have access to a computer may use CSO lobby computers to access WashingtonConnection.org online services between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
Washington Basic Food Program
Aged, Blind and Disabled Medical Healthcare for Workers with Disabilities

State Food Assistance Program (FAP)

FAP is the state food assistance program that provides benefits to legal immigrants who are not eligible for the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), called Basic Food in Washington, solely because of immigration status.
Who is eligible:

Legal immigrants who meet all the Basic Food requirements except citizenship or alien status.
Benefits amount:

Households that include a person eligible for FAP receive half the amount of food benefits they would receive for this person if they were eligible for SNAP. Benefits are based on household income and the number of eligible people in the home.

Households can receive a mix of FAP and SNAP benefits depending on the citizenship or alien status of each person in the home.


Hours:
Mondays through Fridays 8am to 5pm.
