Arthur County Local DHHS Office Details

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formally known as :Food Stamps Program" helps eligible low-income individuals/household to purchase nutritious food. SNAP benefits can only be used to buy food item, therefore alcoholic beverages, tobacco, paper products, pet food, and other non-food products cannot be purchased.

Once eligible individuals/families are approved for SNAP benefits, they will receive an EBT card on the mail. The EBT card works just like a debit card. The amount of benefits depends on household size, income, monthly expenses, and other criteria relevant to program guidelines.
