The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program helps low-income people purchase food.
In order to be eligible for such assistance, you do not need to receive other public assistance, but people do not automatically receive a click benefit which they must apply for and which must be recognised as eligible.
Families who meet the programmer's income and resource requirements receive GNPD benefits free of charge.
A family can be a person or group of people who buy and cook food together.
Groups qualify as separate families if they live in the same house, but buy food separately.
