I had tried to apply online for food stamps but was unable but I was told they would send forms to me well it's been over 2 weeks and I still have not see forms yet
If your caseworker tells you to call the automated EBT line to send your card to yourself (says they can't do it for you), it is not an intuitive automation if you do not yet have your 16 digit card number. My rep gave me incorrect information twice, (thought there was an initial option to input social security number, there is not) here's how you talk to a person if you are a new user: 1) call 1-888-997-2227 2) after english/spanish option, press 2 instead of entering 16 digit (unknown to you) number 3) agree to cancel your card (it won't cancel, it will say you will be connected to talk to a rep) 4) explain to person you do not want to cancel your card, but are a new user without a 16 digit card number, see if card needs address to be sent or if it's en route.
