Maui Department of Human Services Details
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as SNAP, is part of a federal nutrition program that helps qualifying low-income households purchase nutritious food.
Individuals must apply for the program and provide all the required documentation. Individuals can apply online, via US Mail and through the drop-off boxes located at the office. After the application is filed, the individual must have a telephone interview with a case worker and be prepared to answer questions related to the household situation.
The amount of benefit provided is based on income, resources and the number of individuals in the household. SNAP benefits are issued monthly on the Hawaii Electronic Benefit Transfer (Hi/EBT) card. This EBT card can be used just like a debit card at authorized grocery stores and food retailers.

Hi I have submitted a application to receive snap benefits. And have not heard back from anyone.
Just got a letter that I was denied because of not providing documents of 2 others that are not living with me. I sent a lease agreement paper to you with only me on the lease. I am sure that it is sufficient enough to determine my application, besides all that was asked of me was to send my Unemployment verification to you. Thank you for your time!
I have just moved to the state of California and need to close my Hawaii Snap~ ebt. I have tried calling and can’t get through to anyone.
I have not received my SNAP benefit this month trying to figure out why
Aloha, I have submitted 3 applications. 2 online applications and 1 hard copy. I have yet to hear back from anyone. Also when calling for my appointment listed on my notice, no one answered and next thing I know I received a notice stating that I have failed to call back. I couldn’t leave a voicemail its really frustrating.
Aloha. I need a copy of my snap benefit summary. Is there any chance that I could have a copy emailed?
I also waiting in line, watched 2 person cut in line. I was patient and was told to email my information and still have not heard back.
I have been calling for over a month. Either I sit on hold for over an hour and get disconnected or sent to a mailbox that doesn't accept any voice-mail. I sent you a letter via usps over 3 weeks ago with no response.
