People who work and need help to stretch their income to buy food may also be eligible for SNAP, as may people receiving social security, child support or unemployment benefits.

some families and individuals need expedited benefits that start within seven days of applying.
Once your household's eligibility is determined, your approved food stamp benefits will be deposited into an account each month.
