Great Falls Field Office Details

The mission of the Division of Human and Community Services of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services is to support the strengths of families and communities by promoting employment and providing the assistance needed to help families and individuals meet basic needs and move out of poverty.

The department provides cash assistance, employment training, additional nutritional assistance, Medicaid, child care, meal reimbursement, nutritional training, energy assistance, weather resistance, and other services to help families lift themselves out of poverty and help them become self-sufficient.

Pre-school education can reduce the educational disadvantages of children from low-income and minority backgrounds.
The Job Preparation Section provides employment and training services to individuals receiving cash assistance.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program offers benefits to eligible families to supplement their food budget and increase their ability to buy healthy foods.
A SNAP Nutrition Education, conducted jointly with Montana State University, teaches participants how to take advantage of their food brand.
